Ms. Barbara Nelson, Retreat Director
Barbara Nelson is a native of San Francisco. She retired after 30 years with San Francisco State University, where she focused on human relations and employee development. She now directs the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, having completed the Pierre Favre Training Program here at the Jesuit Retreat Center of Los Altos. Barbara is also a Retreat Director at our Center and in her parish, St. Agnes in San Francisco.
Barbara has established an Ignatian Spirituality Ministry in her parish, where the offerings include direction in 19th Annotation retreats (the whole Ignatian Exercises given in everyday life) and workshops which explore opportunities to deepen one's relationship with Christ through various aspects of Ignatian spirituality. Her Ignatian passion is matched by her passion for photography.
