Dr. André L. Delbecq is the J. Thomas and Kathleen McCarthy University Professor at Santa Clara University, where he served as Dean of the Leavey School of Business from 1979 to 1989. His research and scholarship have focused on executive decision-making processes, organization design, and managing innovation in rapid-change environments. He is the Eighth Dean of Fellows of the Academy of Management. He currently directs the Institute for Spirituality of Organizational Leadership at Santa Clara University that conducts dialogs between theologians, management scholars and executives. More than 400 managers and executives have participated in his university’s seminar on leadership spirituality. He is co-founder of the Community of Joseph, an inter-religious contemplative community that holds the vocation of leadership in prayer.
