Retreat Director
Fr. Dave Ayotte, S.J., is a recently vowed Jesuit working on a degree
at the Jesuit School of Theology, Berkeley. His concentration is
on the thought of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Before he took first vows
in August 2007 he was a priest for the Archdiocese of Los Angeles for
13 years. He spent six years in parish work and six more coordinating
its mission activities, leading him to work in 30 countries, mainly in
Africa, Asia and Central America. That same work eventually led him to
join the Jesuits. He is a Canadian immigrant who arrived in Los Angeles
when he was four and spent most of his life in the City of Angels.
